/surreality exhibition

I had the opportunity to co-lead our senior studio class in Fall of 2019 as project manager for our senior show called "Surreality."

Ever since I was little, I have had an ongoing, repetitive nightmare that has occured at least once a year. This nightmare has led me to create a book with multiple stories of other people’s repetitive dreams and/or nightmares. What we dream of at night can be caused by stress, can have occurrences and people that we have never met before, and can make no sense.

This is reflective to surrealism, and how the unconscious mind works when we are sleeping. Sometimes my dreams seem so real and vivid that I wake up thinking it is reality. I have suffered with social anxiety since I was a kid, so my repetitive nightmare might be reflective to that. This book illustrates other people’s experiences and stories of their repetitives nightmares and/or dreams.
